Human Gene Families

Created by Tadashi Imanishi on July 30, 1998; Last updated on Dec 9, 1998.
I have identified 425 gene families with two or more members within the human genome. Here, tandemly duplicated genes are grouped together before analysis, so that they were ignored except one representative. An accession number of DAD (DDBJ Amino Acid Sequence Database), chromosomal location, sequence length (in amino acids) and a gene name are described for each member of these gene families. Sequence similarity matrices were shown following the tables. The matrices show percent identity in amino acids and the lengths of alignments in parenthesis. A few very large gene families are omitted.

Details of this analysis will be available in the future. Note that this project is still in progress, so that drastic changes will be made sporadically. Please e-mail me if you have any questions and comments.
